2015 Chrysler 200 officially unveiled with the 'new face' of Chrysler

The 2015 Chrysler 200 has been unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

 

Designed to show the "new 'face' of Chrysler," the 200 has a stylish exterior with a slender grille that is flanked by sweptback headlights. The sedan also has chrome accents, a sporty roofline and gently curved surfaces. If that standard model isn't aggressive enough, the 200S has a more sinister appearance thanks to gloss black accents, a dual exhaust system and available 19-inch aluminum wheels with a Hyper Black finish.

 

The cabin has been significantly improved with high quality materials and a modern design. Notable highlights include metallic trim, an "e-shift rotary knob" and a unique center console that has a sliding cover which reveals a hidden storage compartment. Options include a digital instrument cluster, an 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system and heated leather seats.

 

Under the hood, two different engines are available. The 2.4-liter Tigershark four-cylinder produces 184 bhp (137 kW) and 173 lb-ft (234 Nm) of torque, while the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 churns out 295 bhp (220 kW) and 262 lb-ft (355 Nm) of torque. The engines are connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission which can be paired to an optional all-wheel drive system that has a "complete rear-axle disconnect" which "seamlessly switches between front- and all-wheel drive for full-time torque management and does not require input from the driver."
