Porsche 911 Targa leaked?

A purported picture of the Porsche 911 Targa has surfaced online, ahead of its debut at the North American International Auto Show.

 

While we cannot confirm its authenticity - considering there appears to be a blurred out watermark and no reflective red strip running between the taillights - the image depicts an attractive sports car that harkens back to the original 1965 911 Targa. The overall design closely echoes the standard 911 but the car feature a wraparound rear window, a distinctive B-pillar and a "movable center roof section."

 

Engine options will likely carryover from the standard model so expect choices to include a 3.4-liter six-cylinder with 350 HP (257 kW) and 390 Nm (288 lb-ft) of torque as well as a 3.8-liter six-cylinder with 400 HP (294 kW) and 440 Nm (324 lb-ft) of torque.
