最近谍照记者拍到了宝马Z5在普通道路测试的照片。虽然该车仍进行了重度伪装，但可看出这款Z4后继车型的更多细节。车头最靠外侧“斜视”的前大灯看起来有些“邪恶”，长长的引擎盖和向下垂的车鼻让人联想到捷豹F-Type。Z5的车尾被包裹得严严实实，预计不再会采用丑陋的尾灯组和突兀的排气尾管。据传，宝马希望将Z5打造成一款纯粹的运动车，而不是类似Z4那样的豪华敞篷车。这款Z5不再采用折叠硬顶，而是织物软顶，同时也比Z4略小。该车采用后轮驱动，但不清楚搭载何种引擎。不过，宝马不会推出M高性能版本。Z5将由麦格纳斯太尔生产，另外丰田也将于2018年推出自己的版本。如果真是这样，明年底大家会看到宝马和丰田各自发布的最终量产版。

 

BMW Z5 hits the street wearing lots of camo

The BMW Z5 is no longer testing in the arctic, and the forthcoming droptop is now on city streets where it looks much more at home. Give the upcoming convertible a close look in this fresh batch of spy photos.

 

BMW is still keeping the roadster heavily camouflaged, but these new pictures give us a better view of the Z4 successor’s details. The slanted headlights at the far corners of the front end make the convertible look mean. In profile, the long hood and downward sloping nose bring the Jaguar F-Type to mind. The engineers keep the Z5’s rear well hidden. We don’t expect the ugly taillights or stubby exhaust pipes to be on the production version.

 

Recent rumors suggest BMW wants to make the Z5 a purer sports car than the somewhat luxury-oriented current Z4. For example, rather than a folding hard top, this one has a fabric roof. While hard to see here, the new model is also reportedly somewhat smaller than the Z4. The powertrain is rear-wheel drive, but the engine is a mystery. However, no M version is in the product plan for the upcoming roadster.

 

Magna Steyr will reportedly begin building the Z5 and its Toyota sibling in 2018. If accurate, we’ll see the final versions of both of them by late next year.
