Jeep Wrangler Black Edition II unveiled for Geneva

Jeep has unveiled the Wrangler Black Edition II, ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

 

Set to go on sale in Europe this summer, the special edition is based on the Wrangler Sahara and features black grille inserts, black headlight surrounds and black 18-inch alloy wheels. The model also has black badges, a black wheel cover and a black Mopar fuel cap. The special edition also comes standard with the Dual Top package which includes both a soft top and a three piece hardtop.

 

Interior changes are limited but Jeep said the model will come nicely equipped with black leather seats, polished black accents and a Uconnect infotainment system with GPS navigation. The model will also come with a special accessory package that includes a multifunctional tool, a cargo bag and a "Jeep Owners Group" sticker - among other things.

 

Under the hood, two engines will be available. The 2.8-liter turbodiesel produces 200 PS (147 kW) and 460 Nm (339 lb-ft) of torque, while the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 develops 284 PS (208 kW) and 347 Nm (256 lb-ft) of torque. Both will be connected exclusively to a five-speed automatic transmission.
