本田近日发布了2016款Pilot趣图,该车将在2月12日开幕的芝加哥车展首次亮相。2016款Pilot是该车的第三代车型。本田透露，该车采用全新研发和设计，内部可搭乘八名乘客。从图片看，新车造型比老款车更具吸引力。这款车由本田位于洛杉矶和俄亥俄的美国研发中心负责设计，将搭载采用本田“地球梦”技术的3.5升V6直喷引擎，预计输出功率为231千瓦/310马力。新车发布后将在亚拉巴马州林肯工厂投产，夏季上市。

 

2016 Honda Pilot teased ahead of Chicago Auto Show debut

Honda has published a teaser sketch with the 2016 Pilot set to premiere at the Chicago Auto Show.

 

The Pilot is about to receive a third generation and according to Honda it's going to be a "completely reengineered and redesigned" model capable of seating up to eight people. The attached teaser pic doesn't reveal much but it appears the new Pilot will have a more attractive design compared to the outgoing model's rather bland appearance.

 

Other details are scare at the moment but Honda promises a "dramatic shift in design" for the new Pilot which has been developed by Honda R&D Americas in Los Angeles and Ohio. It will be manufactured just like the outgoing model in Lincoln, Alabama and is set to go on sale this summer.

 

From what we heard so far, there's going to be a V6 3.5-liter direct-injection engine with the latest array of Earth Dreams technologies and an estimated output of 310 bhp (231 kW).

 

The all-new Pilot will debut on February 12 at the Chicago Auto Show where Honda will also provide preliminary details about the new Ridgeline.
