据报道，宝马正在开发特斯拉Model S竞争车型，新车将于2018发布。该车将基于中国规格5系长轴距版，采用插电混动系统。新车可能会被命名为i5或i7。该车采用前置增程汽油引擎和两台电机。车辆可以以前驱，后驱或四驱模式行驶，据传纯电动模式下最长可行驶128公里。宝马将于2017年发布其概念版车型，该车某些设计元素将取自6系Gran Coupe四门轿跑车和下一代7系。据说量产版售价将低于10万美元（约合62万元人民币），宝马预计年产量为3万辆。

 

BMW developing an i5 or i7 for 2018, will target the Tesla Model S

BMW is reportedly developing a Tesla Model S competitor for 2018.

 

According to Automobile Magazine, the model will be a plug-in hybrid that is based on the long-wheelbase 5-Series that is available in China.

 

Slated to adopt either the i5 or i7 moniker, the model will reportedly feature a front-mounted range-extending petrol engine and two electric motors. This setup will enable the car to be front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Specifications remain a mystery but it's rumored that the car will have an electric-only range of 80 miles (128 km).

 

Little else is known about the model but it will reportedly be previewed by a concept in 2017 and adopt styling cues from the 6-Series Gran Coupe and the next-generation 7-Series.

 

The production model will reportedly cost less than $100,000 (€80,400 / ￡64,080) and BMW is expected to build 30,000 units annually.
