外媒近日披露了新一代宝马6系更多细节,该车将有2017年上市。新一代6系由于采用全新开发的35up平台，车重有望比现行版大幅降低227公斤，同时重心进一步降低，前后车重分配更均衡。新车的前后悬更短，加上更宽的轮距，因此车辆灵活性更优异，同时6系轿跑车和敞篷车的车身尺寸进一步降低。而造型更优雅的Gran Coupe四门轿跑车车长进一步增加以便为后排乘客提供更大空间。至于动力系统，新一代6系将搭载350马力直列六缸涡轮增压和475马力V8引擎，而顶级款M6则搭载600马力4.4升V8双涡轮增压引擎。不过，宝马不会推出6系插电混动版。此外，新车还将配备主动空力套装并标配后驱系统，而xDrive全驱为选装件（宝马M6）。

 

2017 BMW 6-Series expected to lose 500 lbs; M6 with 600 HP

A new report sheds some light about the next generation BMW 6-Series scheduled to go on sale in 2017.

 

According to Automobile Magazine, the new 6-Series is going to be massively reworked and should lose as much as 500 lbs (227 kg) after making the switch to the 35up platform. The vehicle is going to receive a lower center of gravity while the weight will be distributed more evenly.

 

According to the same report, the next-gen BMW 6-Series will feature shorter overhangs which combined with a wider track should make the car more agile while the coupe and convertible derivatives are going to be smaller. On the other hand, the more elegant Gran Coupe is bound to be stretched as a method to offer more room at the back.

 

In terms of engines, expect the next generation 6-Series to have an inline-six turbo with 350 HP, along with a 475 HP V8 while the range-topping M6 will get a 600 HP twin-turbo V8 4.4-liter sourced from the limited-run M5 30 Jahre M5. Don't hold your breath for a plug-in hybrid derivative as the report says it won't happen.

 

Automobile Magazine goes on to specify the new 6-Series models will benefit from active aerodynamic elements and the cars will be offered as standard with rear-wheel drive but for more money customers will be able to opt for an xDrive all-wheel drive system, including for the M6s.
