2016款雪佛兰沃蓝达在今年的消费电子展(CES)上首次亮相。新车采用重新设计的前脸，包括上下两部分格栅，更具现代感LED日间行驶灯和时髦的前大灯。车身侧面轮廓更突出动感，大面积弧形车顶（希望这不会影响到后排头部空间）使其看起来更像一辆轿跑车。不过，车身整体设计算不上突破，它的某些设计元素似乎来自本田思域。雪佛兰表示，新车将配备更好的转向系统，加速性也将获得提升，车厢内的噪音和振动将进一步降低。该车配备由雪佛兰和LG共同开发的电池，虽然重量降低13公斤，但电量提升20%，因此纯电动模式下续航里程进一步提升（车厂没有公布具体数字）。另外，新开发的双电机重量比前代车型降低45公斤，效率提升5-12%。新车搭载的1.5升四缸汽油引擎采用了直喷，冷却废气再循环和变量油泵，压缩比达到12.5:1。

 

2016 Chevrolet Volt partially revealed during CES

Chevrolet has provided a sneak preview of their second generation Volt during the 2015 CES in Las Vegas.

 

The redesigned front fascia brings an interesting pair of upper and lower grills along with more modern LED daytime running lights and smart-looking headlights. The side profile shows what appears to be a more sloped roofline which hopefully hasn't affected rear headroom. The overall design isn't what you would call a breakthrough as there are some cues reminiscent of a Honda Civic.

 

Chevrolet is promising the 2016 Volt will come with a better steering system and improved acceleration while inside the cabin the noise, vibration and harshness levels have been reduced. We already know the battery pack has been developed in collaboration with LG Chem and can store 20 percent more even though it is 13 kg (20 lbs) lighter. Without providing any exact figures, Chevrolet has already announced the new Volt will have an impressive electric-only range.

 

The newly developed two-motor drive weighs 45 kg (100 lbs) less than its predecessor and is 5-12 percent more efficient. A new four-cylinder 1.5-liter gasoline engine will be installed in the 2016 Volt and will benefit from direct injection, cooled exhaust gas recirculation, a variable displacement oil pump and a 12.5:1 compression ratio.
