Smart introduces the entry-level ForTwo & FourFor

Smart has introduced an entry-level version of the new ForTwo and ForFour.

 

Currently available to order in Germany, the entry-level models feature LED daytime driving lights, power front windows and central locking. Other highlights include cruise control, an immobilizer, an exterior temperature indicator and a monochrome LCD display in the instrument cluster.

Power is provided by a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine that develops 60 PS (45 kW) and 91 Nm (67 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the ForTwo to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 15.6 seconds, while the ForFour accomplishes the same task in 16.7 seconds. That's mind-numbingly slow and the 151 km/h (94 mph) top speed isn't much better. On the bright side, the models return 4.5 L/100km (52.2 mpg US / 62.7 mpg UK) and 4.7L/100km (50 mpg US / 60 mpg UK).

 

Deliveries are slated for January and pricing starts at €10,335 and €10,995 -including a 19% VAT - respectively.
