下一代宾利欧陆将与下一代保时捷Panamera共享MSB平台。据大众集团内部人士透露，宾利欧陆将不再采用辉腾老旧的D1平台，转而使用保时捷开发的MSB平台，而将于2016年发布的下一代Panamera也将采用该平台。由于该平台大量采用铝制材料，新一代欧陆重量有望大幅降低，前后重量分配也更平衡，这有助于显著提升操控性。除了欧陆，下一代飞驰也将采用MSB平台，新车内部空间更宽敞豪华，虽然配置水平增加，但车重并未明显提升。另外，欧陆和飞驰还将采用保时捷提供的V8汽油引擎，但为了提升车辆性能，功率将进一步调高。下一代宾利欧陆将于2016年下半年发布，2017年中上市。

Lighter next-gen Bentley Continental to use 2016 Porsche Panamera platform

The next generation Bentley Continental will reportedly ride on the MSB platform that will also underpin the all-new Porsche Panamera.

 

According to a Volkswagen Group insider cited by Autocar, the Bentley Continental will make the switch from Phaeton's aging D1 platform to the Porsche-developed MSB architecture which will also underpin the second generation Panamera due in 2016. Thanks to an extensive use of aluminum, the new Continental should come with a significant weight loss as well as with a more balanced weight distribution which will greatly improve driving characteristics.

 

It is believed the MSB platform will also form the basis of the next-gen Flying Spur which is set to become more spacious and luxurious but without gaining too much weight despite an increase in the level of equipment offered.

 

Chances are both the new Continental and Flying Spur will be available with Porsche's all-new V8 gasoline engine which will also be tweaked for future sportier Continental derivatives.

 

Scheduled to go on sale by mid-2017, the next generation Bentley Continental could be revealed in the second half of 2016.
