2016 Chevrolet Malibu spied undergoing testing in Germany
The Chevrolet Malibu has always been a little Mali-blah but the company is hoping to change that with the next-generation model which was recently caught undergoing testing in Germany.
Dressed in heavily camouflage, the redesigned sedan adopts a new front fascia which appears to echo the Impala. As a result, there's a slender grille and new LED daytime running lights. Moving further back, we can see an upward sweeping shoulder line, a rounded roof and a more curvaceous rear end. The model also has a shark fin antenna and a dual exhaust system.
Little else is known about the model but previous reports have suggested the car will likely ride on an updated version of the Epsilon II platform. Engines options could carryover but General Motors is working on an assortment of new powertrains so we wouldn't be too surprised if something new and more fuel efficient is in the works.
