Mazda has released additional information and new photos depicting the Euro-spec Mazda2.

 

Set to go on sale in Europe in early 2015, the model will be offered with four Euro6-compliant engines. On the petrol side the car will be available with three 1.5-liter units that produce 75 PS (55 kW), 90 PS (66 kW) and 115 PS (85 kW) respectively. The most powerful of them is equipped with the i-ELOOP regenerative braking system and is connected to a six-speed manual transmission. This enables the model to return 4.9 L/100km (57.6 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 115 g/km.

 

The entry-level model will be powered by a 1.5-liter SKYACTIV-G petrol engine with 75 PS (55 kW) and 135 Nm (99 lb-ft) of torque. Average fuel consumption is rated at 4.7 L/100km (60.1 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions of 110 g/km.
