宝马宣布,下一代核心车型将采用不同的造型风格。近几年来，很多主流和豪华车厂的核心车型在造型风格方面的差异越来越小，这种趋势也越来越受到消费者诟病，宝马已经意识到这一问题并将着手解决。宝马设计主管Karim Habib表示，下一代核心车型造型风格差异化更明显，每款车都是“一个独立王国”。预计下一代1、3、5、7系都将拥有相对独立的，个性化造型。Habib还表示，新车还将采用新的前大灯技术，高亮度LED灯泡可以让车辆前后照明系统采用不同的设计，不过宝马标志性的双肾格栅仍将保持不变。下一代7系细窄的LED前大灯为全新车头造型预留了更大发挥空间，新车的前格栅更大。不过并非所有车型都将采用这种前大灯，新一代3系由于成本原因就不会使用这种大灯，而是仍将采用普通前大灯，但车头造型也将改变。

BMW announces next-gen core models will get differentiated styling

BMW has announced plans to roll out different designs for its next generation of core models.

Many people are criticizing both mainstream and premium automakers for launching cars with very little styling differentiations within the range but now it seems at least one of them will address this issue. According to BMW brand design director Karim Habib, next-gen cars will look more different than one another as the Bavarian marque says each model is going "to have its little world."

Expect the next generations of the 1-, 3-, 5- and 7-Series to adopt a more individualized styling which will maintain brand exclusivity according to Habib. He also specified upcoming models will benefit from a new headlamp technology with high intensity LED lamps which will allow BMW to create different designs for the front end of their core models while maintaining the signature double kidney grille.

The slimmer LED headlights of the forthcoming 7-Series have freed up room which has allowed BMW to install a significantly bigger front grille but lesser models like the 3-Series for which such a technology is not suitable due to cost concerns will rely on conventional headlights and a different front end.
