Hyundai Genesis gets a twin-turbo V8 for SEMA
Hyundai and Toca Marketing have teamed up to create a one-off Genesis sedan for SEMA.
Dubbed the “Steel Phoenix,” the car has been equipped with a custom wide body kit that includes new bumpers, revised side skirts and widened front fenders and rear quarter panels. The car also has a carbon fiber rear diffuser and a matte black / gloss black paint job.
The sport styling continues in the cabin as designers added Nappa leather upholstery, an ultra suede headliner and carbon fiber and aluminum trim. The interior also features Prosport EVO gauges and a Rockford Fosgate audio system.
More meaningful changes occur under the hood as the 5.0-liter V8 engine has been equipped with two Garrett turbochargers and a catback exhaust system - among other things. Thanks to these modifications, the engine develops 600 bhp (447 kW).
Besides the aforementioned upgrades, the car has an air suspension, high-performance brakes and 21-inch COR wheels with Toyo Proxes T1R tires.
