Porsche Cayman GT4 prototype flaunts its rear wing in latest spy shots

Our spies have sent us a fresh batch of photos with a more hardcore Porsche Cayman rumored to receive the "GT4" designation.

 

We know Porsche is working on a facelift for the Cayman but they are also cooking up a hotter derivative which will be slotted above the GTS version. While the latter packs a 340 HP punch from its six-cylinder 3.4-liter boxer engine, the GT4 edition is believed to come with a larger 3.8-liter twin-turbo rated at 450 HP (331 kW).

 

Matching the added oomph will be a more aggressive body which will include a fixed rear wing as seen on the prototype spotted here which also has ceramic brakes and an additional front air intake.

 

The road-going Porsche Cayman GT4 (name not confirmed) will probably be unveiled next year together with a facelift for the lesser models.
