沃尔沃高级副总裁Lex Kerssemakers近日透露了新一代V40和XC40的一些细节。他表示，新一代V40采用了沃尔沃与吉利共同开发的C级CMA模块化平台。新平台更灵活，可以被更多车型所采用，甚至包括新一代C30都将使用该平台。Kerssemakers还表示，涡轮V40还是XC40都将推出插电混动版本。如果一切进展顺利，新一代V40将于2016年发布，而XC40将于2018年发布。

Volvo's Senior Vice President of Product Strategy & Vehicle Line Management has revealed some new details about the upcoming V40 and XC40.

 

Speaking to Car Advice, Lex Kerssemakers confirmed the models will ride on the new C-segment Modular Architecture (CMA) that is being jointly developed with Geely. Little is known about the platform itself but Kerssemakers said it's flexible enough to underpin a "wide range of products," potentially even a C30 successor.

 

The executive was tight-lipped on performance specifications but he did confirm plans for a plug-in hybrid variant of both models.

 

If everything goes according to plan, Volvo will introduce the new V40 in 2016 and the XC40 in 2018.
