英国媒体近日率先披露了奔驰C350插电混动车的细节。该车将于明年初上市，虽然是插电混动版，但该车从外观上看与标准版并无差别，只是在后保险杠增加了一个充电接口。另外为了提升空气动力学性能以及为引擎提供更多冷气，该车还采用了主动开闭格栅。该车动力系统为一台2.0升四缸涡轮增压引擎，最大功率155千瓦/208马力，另有一台电机内置于七速自动变速器内，可额外提供60千瓦/80马力功率。车辆在纯电动模式下最长可行驶32公里，百公里油耗仅为2.8升，每公里二氧化碳排放量65克，比S500插电混动版更节能环保。虽然C350和S500插电混动版搭载的是不同的引擎和电机，但共享电池组和电力电子装备，这主要是为了缩短开发时间，降低成本。更大，更重的S500插电混动版搭载的是333马力3.0升V6引擎和116马力电机。在C350插电混动版上市之后，奔驰还将在2017年底之前发布九款插电混动车，但这不包括A、B、CLA和GLA等小型车系。但这不排除未来上述车系未来提供插电混动版的可能性。奔驰将于年底正式发布C350插电混动版。
Mercedes-Benz C350 Plug-In Hybrid detailed ahead of forthcoming reveal
British media has managed to obtain preliminary technical specification regarding the Mercedes-Benz C350 Plug-In Hybrid.
Scheduled to go on sale early 2015, the plug-in hybrid C-Class will look virtually the same as the conventional model with the obvious exception of the rear charging port built into the bumper. It will also feature an active shutter grille which improves aerodynamics whenever extra engine cooling is not necessary.
Power will come from a four-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine developing 208 bhp (155 kW) which will work together with an electric motor built into the seven-speed automatic transmission and generating an additional 80 bhp (60 kW). The vehicle will have an estimated all-electric range of 20 miles (32 km) and will be more efficient than the S500 Plug-In Hybrid which returns 100.9 mpg UK (84 mpg US or 2.8 liters / 100 km) with CO2 emissions of 65 g/km.
Although the C350 and S500 plug-in hybrids have different engines and electric motors, the two cars share the same battery design and power electronics as a method to speed up development and spread costs. As a reminder, the bigger and heavier S500 Plug-In Hybrid mixes up a 333 bhp bi-turbo V6 3.0-liter engine with a 116 bhp electric motor.
Following the launch of the C350 Plug-In Hybrid, Mercedes-Benz will introduce an additional nine plug-in hybrids by 2017 but these won't cover the small models such as the A, B, CLA and GLA. However, further down the line, these models will also receive a similar treatment.
The Mercedes-Benz C350 Plug-In Hybrid will be officially revealed towards the end of the year.
