All-new Renault Koleos makes spy photo debut

The second generation Renault Koleos has been spied for the first time ahead of a confirmed 2016 launch.

 

The prototype was spotted testing in southern Europe and although it was wrapped in a significant amount of camouflage we can clearly see its styling will be influenced by the 2011 R-Space concept. The second generation Koleos is bound to ditch the awkward boxy shape in favor of a more modern crossover appearance mixed with some MPV characteristics.

 

Little else is known about the model right now but it will probably use the Common Module Family (CMF) architecture which underpins the latest Nissan X-Trail. Compared to the outgoing model the overhauled Koleos will grow in size, a decision which makes a lot of sense taking into account Renault now has the popular Captur compact crossover.
