2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT gains more power & Red Vapor Special

Jeep has taken the wraps off the 2015 Grand Cherokee SRT.

 

Modestly revised, the 2015 model features a new Active Noise Cancelling system which uses four strategically placed microphones to help cancel out intrusive noises in the cabin.

 

Bigger changes occur under the hood as the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine has been upgraded to produce 475 bhp (354 kW) and 470 lb-ft (637 Nm) of torque - an increase of 5 bhp (3 kW) and 5 lb-ft (6 Nm). It is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission which enables the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds before hitting a top speed of 160 mph (257 km/h).

 

Last but not least, there's a new Red Vapor Special Edition. It features gloss black accents, a dark red engine cover and 20-inch alloy wheels with a Black Chrome finish.

 

Interior changes are limited but include Radar Red trim, "light black chrome" accents and backlit steering wheel controls - among other things.
