2015 Honda Jazz prototype arrives in European specification at Paris Motor Show
Honda has introduced the 2015 Euro-spec Jazz prototype this week at the Paris Motor Show.
Without any doubt Honda's main attraction at the stand in Paris is the Civic Type R Concept II but let's not forget about the new Jazz (Fit) which will be built in Japan. Although billed as a prototype, the car depicted in these images is virtually production-ready and is scheduled to go on sale next summer on the old continent. In comparison to the outgoing model, the overhauled Jazz is 15mm longer and comes with a 30mm stretched wheelbase.
The added distance between the two axles corroborated with the central positioning of the fuel tank has allowed Honda to develop a more spacious cabin which will benefit from the firm's versatile Magic Seats, with the possibility of folding the rear ones completely flat.
The 2015 Honda Jazz (Euro-spec) is going to be offered with a newly developed 1.3-liter i-VTEC gasoline engine of undisclosed output which will be mated to a standard six-speed manual gearbox or an optional semi-automatic continuously variable transmission (CVT) sending the power to the front wheels.
