Ferrari 458 Speciale Spider starting at €216K, could be called 458 LS

The latest report concerning the Ferrari 458 Speciale Spider says the model will carry a starting price of 216,000 EUR (before taxes).

 

A source close to Maranello says it will kick off at 216,000 EUR before taxes which would make it 11,000 EUR more expensive than the fixed roof version.

 

As a reminder, last week we heard production will be capped at 458 units and the name won't be 458 Speciale Spider, with TeamSpeed saying it will wear the "458 LS" moniker. The model is believed to come with a choice of two fresh alloy wheel designs, a new stripe design, carbon fiber floor mats, two special plaques on the inside and reshaped seats.

 

There won't be any changes in the engine department so the model will borrow the coupe's upgraded V8 4.5-liter engine generating 605 PS (445 kW) and 398 lb-ft (540 Nm) which should be enough for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in approximately three seconds before topping out at more than 200 mph (322 km/h).

 

A public debut will likely occur early October at the Paris Motor Show.
