2017 BMW X2 Sports Activity Coupe rendered

BMW are set to introduce yet another model to its line of X-vehicles with the X2 Sports Activity Coupe (SAC). The model will essentially be based on the second generation F48 X1 but will come with a sloping coupe-like roofline similar to the larger X4 and X6 SUVs.

 

The renderings completed here show a possible look for the upcoming model from both front and rear three-quarter positions. While they show the three-door version, there is still speculation it could also be produced in five-door guise further down the line.

 

Under the hood, a range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines will be available coupled with the standard six-speed manual or optional eight-speed automatic transmission system. BMW sources have also stated power will be passed to the wheels exclusively by the brands xDrive all-wheel-drive system.
