Subaru Prices All-New Forester From $24,295

Subaru has released pricing information for the all-new 2019 Forester. The crossover made its public debut in March at the 2018 New York auto show.

 

The fifth-generation Forester is offered in five trim levels named base, Premium, Sport, Limited, and Touring, respectively. Pricing starts at $24,295 before Subaru adds a $975 destination charge. That's a $1,500 increase over the outgoing fourth-generation model. The list of standard features includes the firm's EyeSight technology (which bundles pre-collision braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist, among other features), 17-inch steel wheels, a multi-function steering wheel, Bluetooth connectivity, LED headlights, and a 6.5-inch screen for the infotainment system.

 

The four other trim levels are priced at $26,695, $28,795, $30,795, and $34,295, respectively.

 

Every Forester regardless of trim level comes with a 2.5-liter flat-four engine rated at 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. It spins the four wheels through a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Subaru promises the four-cylinder returns up to 33 mpg on the highway; alternatively, it can tow 1,500 pounds. The Forester could get a more powerful engine later in the production run, but don't expect to see the stickshift return.

 

The 2019 Subaru Forester is on-sale now. Deliveries will begin in the coming weeks.
