2019 Lexus ES 350 Gets $550 Price Increase, Starts At $39,500
Lexus debuted the 2019 ES back in April at the Beijing Motor Show, highlighting its New Global Architecture-K platform, revised styling, and performance specs for the ES 350. The 2019 ES goes on sale next month, and before the sedan arrives at dealerships, the automaker has released pricing and fuel economy information.
The entry-level Lexus ES 350 starts at $39,500 – all pricing excludes the $1,025 fee for delivery, processing, and handling. That’s a $550 increase over the outgoing model. The ES 350 comes with a 3.5-liter V6 engine under the hood producing 302 horsepower and 276 pound-feet of torque. Even with an increase in power – 19 hp and 34 lb-ft of torque over the 2018 models – the ES has an EPA-rated fuel economy of 22 miles per gallon city, 33 mpg highway, and 26 mpg combined. That’s a two-mpg increase in combined fuel economy. An eight-speed automatic transmission routes power to the front wheels.
Along with pricing, Lexus announced the fuel economy for the ES 350h hybrid. The sedan returns 43 mpg city, 45 mpg highway, and 44 mpg combined. Lexus calls it “the most fuel-efficient luxury vehicle without a plug.” The car uses an Atkinson cycle 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing a combined output of 215 hp. The ES 350h sees a $510 decrease in price compared to its predecessor, starting at $41,310.
New for 2019 is the ES 350 F Sport. The sedan receives a retuned suspension, unique interior trim, and 19-inch wheels and tires. While there isn’t more power, there is added styling, which raises its price over the standard ES 350. The F Sport starts at $44,035 while returning 22 mpg city, 31 mpg highway and 25 mpg in combined driving.
The 2019 Lexus ES begins arriving at dealerships in September. Customers can expect a refined luxury sedan loaded with technology.
