2018年5月本田在华累计售车99,263辆，同比下跌15.3%。其中广汽本田5月份终端累计售车51,141辆，同比下跌12.9%，东风本田5月份累计售车48,122辆，同比下跌17.7%。截至今年5月，本田在中国的汽车累计终端销量正式突破1000万辆。今年前5个月，本田两家合资企业总销量达到了501,116辆，同比下跌6.5%。1—5月，广汽本田终端总销量为276,328辆，同比微跌1.8%。东风本田5月份累计售车224788辆，同比下跌11.6%。数据显示，无论是本田还是讴歌上月销量均同比下降。其中本田品牌5月销量为50625辆，同比下降11.4%。讴歌品牌下降达到59.2%至4976辆。此外，5月奥德赛销量同比下降41.9%至3790辆，今年以来销量为17825辆，下降2.1%。讴歌品牌，无论是RDX还是CDX销量均同比下降70%。CR-V由于“机油门”事件，过去几个月销量出现了明显的下跌，5月份卖出了3,325辆，下降77.4%。东风本田5月16日向国家质检总局提交召回方案，共召回130455辆搭载1.5升引擎的CR-V。此外，本田哥瑞和竞瑞5月销量分别为793辆和892辆，同比下降73.5%和69.4%。不过，本田艾力绅和UR-V 5月销量分别增长133.9%和42.2%。今年以来，UR-V销量同比增长256.3%至19490辆，而去年同期为5470辆。
Honda China sales drop 15.3% YoY in May
Honda delivered a total of 99,263 vehicles in May, dropping 15.3% year on year. Both GAC Honda and Dongfeng Honda saw year-on-year decrease of 12.9% and 17.7% last month, with 51,141 units and 48,122 units delivered respectively. By the end of May, 2018, the Japanese automaker’s cumulative sales in China have already exceeded 10 million units, according to Honda China.
For the first five months this year, two joint ventures delivered 501,116 vehicles in total, edging down 6.5% from a year ago. GAC Honda saw a slight year-on-year drop of 1.8% in year-to-date sales to 276,328 units. Meanwhile, Dongfeng Honda Jan-to-May deliveries shrank by 11.6% over the previous year to 224,788 units.
According to the data, both Honda and Acura under GAC Honda experienced year-on-year decline last month. Honda brand delivered 50,625 units in May, falling 11.4% year on year. The deliveries of the Accord slumped 59.2% over a year ago to 4,976. In addition, the May deliveries of the Odyssey showed a year-on-year surge of 41.9% to 3,790 units, while its year-to-date deliveries edged down 2.1% from the previous year to 17,825 units.
With respect to Acura, both deliveries of the RDX and the CDX suffered year-on-year plunge over 70%.
It seems that the aftermath of CR-V engine issue still continued. The deliveries of the CR-V still faced a year-on-year sales plummet of 77.4%, with 3,325 units delivered in May. Dongfeng Honda has filed a plan to China’s State Administration for Market Regulation to recall a total of 130,455 CR-Vs equipped with a 1.5-litre turbo engine, according to a governmental notice released on May 16. Additionally, the monthly deliveries of the GREIZ and GIENIA reached only 793 units and 892units respectively, plunging 73.5% and 69.4% from a year ago. The automaker achieved booming performances over the ELYSION and the UR-V, whose May deliveries surged 133.9% and 42.2% year on year respectively. It is worth mentioning that the year-to-date deliveries of the UR-V splendidly increased by 256.3% to 19,490 units from 5,470 units in year-ago period.
