5月14日,上海经信委官方微信发布消息称,宝马获得两张智能网联汽车道路测试牌照,而宝马也由此成为首家在中国获得自动驾驶路试许可牌照的国际整车制造商。据了解,宝马(中国)服务有限公司此次申请智能网联汽车道路测试的车辆为两辆宝马7系,不过车辆结合中国路况进行了升级改造。这两辆车已在国家智能网联汽车(上海)试点示范区封闭测试区进行了为期一个月的智能网联汽车实车检查及试验,测试项目整体通过率超过99%。宝马透露,到今年年底将陆续增至7辆,以通过足够的测试(包括计算机模拟测试和实际道路测试)来确保自动驾驶技术的安全性。目前宝马在中国已累计完成了接近3万公里的路试(由车内安全驾驶员实时监控的封闭道路及指定的公共道路),以及20万公里的计算机模拟测试。在自动驾驶领域,宝马已拥有超过10年的研发经验,累计了大量突破性关键技术。2016年,宝马集团与英特尔以及Mobileye建立了行业第一个开放式的自动驾驶研发平台。到2017年下半年,宝马在全球累计投入40辆自动驾驶测试车辆。同年4月,宝马集团自动驾驶研发中心正式启用。
BMW given go-ahead to road test ICV in Shanghai
BMW obtained two license plates for the ICV (intelligent-connected vehicle) road test from Shanghai municipal government on May 14, becoming the first multinational automaker that is allowed to test ICV on roads, according to official WeChat account of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information.
Reportedly, the tested vehicles from BMW are two BMW 7-Series models, which have been upgraded in line with China's road conditions. The two tested vehicles had undergone one-month testing and qualification inspection in National Intelligent Connected Vehicle (ShangHai) Pilot Zone with an overall passing rate over 99%.
BMW revealed that the company will increase the tested vehicles to 7 by the end of 2018 so as to ensure the driving safety through sufficient vehicle tests (including computer simulations and practical road tests). BMW has currently accumulated nearly 30,000-kilometer road testing and around 200,000-kilometer computer simulations.
The premium vehicle manufacturer has possessed over 10-year R&D experience in autonomous driving area and has achieved breakthroughs in many core technologies. In 2016, BMW joined hands with Intel and Mobileye to co-build the industry's first open autonomous driving R&D platform. Then by the second half of 2017, the company has launched 40 autonomous tested vehicles in total worldwide. Moreover, BMW's autonomous driving R&D center was officially put into operation in April this year.
