江淮汽车对外公布了3月份乘用车的销量情况:江淮乘用车3月共计销售24189辆,同比增长34%。其中SUV销量9605辆,同比增长0.96%;MPV销量9633辆,同比增长67.94%;轿车销量4951辆,同比增长76.76%。3月江淮SUV销量增长0.96%表明其SUV销量已经恢复。而MPV销量增长67.94%主要得益于车厂在MPV销售旺季采取的促销活动。自2017年起,江淮汽车销量就出现了严重的下滑,而到了2018年,江淮也似乎在延续这一态势,1月乘用车共计销售20370辆,同比下滑32.6%,2月乘用车共计销售13822辆,同比下滑25.2%。对于公司业绩下滑,江淮也进行了相应的举措:高管团队平均降薪50%,承担连带责任;发出“瑞风S3/S7亿元红包”来促销。江淮去年共销售121300辆SUV,低于2016年的154200辆。其中瑞风S3曾经年销量达到20万,但下滑严重,2017年全年仅售5.4万辆。而被寄予厚望的S7却并没有达到销量预期,年销仅1.4万辆。由于销售团队发放了1亿红包,瑞风S3和S7的销量终于在3月份恢复增长。
JAC enjoys YoY PV sales surge of 34% in March
JAC enjoyed a remarkable YoY sales surge of 34% in passenger vehicles to 24,189 units in March, according to JAC's output and sales report. Among them, sales of SUVs reached 9,605 units, edging up 0.96% from a year earlier. Sales of MPVs surged 67.94% year on year to 9,633 units. Its sales of sedans totaled 4,951 units, soaring 76.76% compared with the same period last year.
The slight YoY increase of 0.96% in SUVs signifies the sales revival of JAC's SUVs. The outstanding YoY sales growth of 67.94% in MPVs mainly resulted from JAC's promotional campaign during the hot season of MPVs.
JAC suffered sales slump from 2017, and the slump trend still continued in 2018. In January and February, JAC's PV sales reached 20,370 units and 13,822 units respectively with respective YoY plunge of 32.6% and 25.2%. To ease the sales drops, JAC brought out a variety of countermeasures, such as 50% of salary reduction on its senior executives, sales promotion with red envelopes valued RMB 100 million on the Refine S3 and S7.
Last year, JAC delivered 121,300 SUVs, decreasing by 154,200 units compared with 2016. The Refine S3, once the sales driver who recorded annual sales of 200,000 units, only posted annual sales of 54,000 units in 2017. The highly-anticipated Refine S7 also failed to finish its sales target with annual sales of 14,000 units in 2017. Thanks to sales promotion with red envelopes valued RMB 100 million, sales of the Refine S3 and S7 were largely boosted in March.
