奔驰近日在北京车展发布了A级L长轴距版轿车。在造型风格方面，这辆A级长轴距轿车的车头与A级掀背车非常接近。由于轴距增加了63.5毫米，车内后排乘客的活动空间更宽敞，迎合了中国消费者的喜好。戴姆勒中国区总管唐仕凯表示：“为满足中国消费者需求，我们开发了A级L长轴距版，这也是紧凑型轿车市场上唯一一款长轴距车型。”这辆仅供中国市场的车型外观与短轴距版相同，后者包括轿车和运动轿车版本。不过运动轿车版本外观与标准版不同，车辆前方的引擎盖进一步隆起。据说短轴距版车型将在今年下半年上市。
Mercedes-Benz reveals stretched A-Class L
Mercedes-Benz has revealed the A-Class L, a stretched variant that makes its debut ahead of the standard-wheelbase edition.
When viewed from the front, the 'notchback' sedan closely matches the redesigned A-Class hatchback that recently debuted in Geneva. The long-wheelbase sedan provides much more room for rear-seat passengers, however, catering to Chinese buyers who prefer to be chauffeured.
The A-Class L wheelbase is nearly 2.5 inches longer than the hatchback, maximizing rear knee-room, while the roofline does not follow the CLA's steep rearward slope.
"With our Chinese customers' wishes and needs in mind, we developed the A?Class L Sedan for the local market, which is the first and only long wheelbase model in the premium compact car segment," says Daimler's China head, Hubertus Troska.
The China-exclusive A-Class L previews the appearance of the short-wheelbase model, which will be available in Sedan and Sport Sedan versions. The latter will be visually distinguished by power domes on the hood.
The shorter A-Class is said to be on track to launch in the second half of the year.
