General Motors has updated its Malibu lineup with a new transmission and first-ever RS trim.
With a price tag starting around $25,000, the RS focuses on sporty styling including 18-inch machined wheels, a blacked-out grille, dark bowtie emblems, a rear spoiler and dual-outlet exhaust.
Across the Malibu lineup, the 2019 refresh brings standard eight-inch infotainment system. The Premier model features an eight-inch driver information display and heated outboard rear seats, while the Malibu L adds a rear-vision camera.
Buyers will also be presented with new exterior and interior colors and new wheel designs in 16-, 17- and 18-inch sizes.
Engines carry over unchanged, though the 1.5-liter turbocharged mill will now be paired with a CVT.
The updated Malibu will arrive in showrooms this fall.
