Ford Fusion gets standard safety tech, more hybrid range
Ford has outlined a list of incremental upgrades for the 2019 Fusion lineup.
Buyer will all receive Ford's Co-Pilot360 technology as standard equipment. The suite includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring, lane keeping assist, rear backup camera and auto high-beams.
A 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine has been extended to the basic Fusion SE and higher trim levels, while the Fusion Energi hybrid boasts a 20-percent improvement in all-electric range to an EPA-estimated 25 miles.
All models have been updated with a slightly revised front and rear end design, new wheels and a few different color choices.
The first 2019-model-year sedans will begin arriving in showrooms this summer.
