本田近日在北美车展发布了第三代Insight混动车的原型车。本田形容这款车为“在本田乘用车系列中定位高于思域的高端紧凑车型”。该车内饰水平高于思域，车门内饰板和仪表盘采用真皮装饰。本田还宣称，Insight的长轴距将可为五位乘客提供更舒适的座椅。除了舒适性提升，Insight的科技含量也高于思域。该车配备了专属的8英寸触控显示屏，可以让用户查阅APP并选择最近的回家路线。该车还提供7英寸LCD仪表群和WiFi，可提供空中下载技术，对系统进行升级。本田并未公布该车的动力系统细节，但车厂表示，该车将搭载1.5升汽油引擎和一台电机及锂电池组。而Insight主要是一辆电动车。而汽油引擎主要是为电池组充电。本田希望该车的城市/高速路综合油耗能达到50英里/加仑（百公里油耗约合4.7升）。2019款Insight将于今年晚些时候上市。
Detroit LIVE: 2019 Honda Insight
Honda has introduced a prototype for its third-generation Insight hybrid at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
Honda bills the Insight as a "premium compact above Civic in the Honda passenger car lineup." , the Insight will have nicer interior materials than its Civic sibling, with leather-stitched accents visible on the car's doors and dash. Honda also claims the Insight's long wheelbase will provide comfortable seating for five.
In addition to more comfort, the Insight will also have more on-board tech than the Civic. Insight models will come with a customizable 8-inch touchscreen display that will allow users to move around app tiles and create home screen shortcuts. The Insight will also boast a 7-inch LCD gauge cluster and WiFi-enabled over-the-air system updates.
Precise powertrain details have not been announced, but Honda say the Insight will pair a 1.5L gas engine with an electric motor backed by a lithium-ion battery pack. The Insight will operate mainly as an EV, with its gas engine primarily acting as a generator for the car's battery pack. Honda is targeting a combined city/highway EPA rating in excess of 50mpg for the Insight.
The 2019 Honda Insight is scheduled to go on sale later in 2018.
