本田近日在底特律颇具历史的东部市场发布了2017款CR-V,新车内外装更精致,成为史上最好CR-V。该车最大变化是搭载了一台取自思域的1.5升四缸涡轮引擎,功率增加19马力至190马力,扭矩增加17磅-英尺(约合23牛米)至179磅-英尺(约合242牛米),不过,该引擎的峰值扭矩的转速范围为2000-5000转/分,比思域的1700-5500转/分更窄。这是CR-V入门级车型的标配引擎,本田估计75%消费者会购买搭载该引擎的车型。而LX车型则搭载一台2.4升自然进气引擎,功率184马力,扭矩180磅-英尺(约合244牛米)@3900转/分。虽然本田并未公布引擎燃油数据,但2.4升自然进气引擎油耗显然比1.5升涡轮增压引擎油耗更高。无论搭载何种引擎,CVT变速器和前轮驱动仍是标配。而全轮驱动作为选装件,预计将比前驱版本高出1300美元。新车内装获得大幅提升,Touring顶级款的仪表板和车门内饰板材料更显档次。车厢内空间也更大,达到同级车最大水平,后排腿部空间增加了2英寸(约合50.8毫米)。在技术升级方面,新车很多配置取自新一代思域,包括中控台顶置信息娱乐系统触控显示屏,Sensing主动安全系统包括防碰撞自动刹车,车道偏离主动修正和道路偏离警示,自适应巡航控制,车道保持辅助等。本田将在下月的洛杉矶车展正式向公众展示新款CR-V,随后将于冬季上市。

2017 Honda CR-V revealed with more space, turbo power
Introduced yesterday in Detroit's historic Eastern Market, the 2017 CR-V takes the lessons learned on Honda's latest models, refining it into what will almost certainly be the best CR-V ever.

At its core, the 2017 CR-V adopts a more powerful version of the Civic's 1.5-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Blessed with 190 horsepower and 179 pound-feet of torque, it has 16 extra ponies and 17 extra torques on offer compared to the compact sedan. The flipside is that peak torque is available along a narrower part of the rev range, from 2,000 to 5,000 rpm instead of the Civic's broader 1,700 to 5,500 revs. This will be the standard engine on all but the very base CR-V, so Honda’s estimated 75-percent take rate makes sense.

If you prefer your family-friendly crossover sans turbo, prepare to give up a lot of content, because you’re stuck with the base LX. At least the loss of power isn't too bad – there's 184 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque available with the 2.4-liter naturally aspirated engine. But peak torque doesn't arrive until 3,900 rpm, and while Honda hasn't released official fuel economy figures, expect the larger-displacement engine to be less efficient than the 1.5-liter turbo. Regardless of powertrain, a continuously variable transmission remains standard across the range. Front-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is a cost option – pricing isn’t available yet, but we’re guessing AWD will retain the same $1,300 premium as the current car.

This 2017 update adds a greater dose of interior refinement – the cabin on the range-topping Touring model we crawled around looks lovely, with a noticeable improvement in dash and door-panel materials. The cabin is bigger, too – the roomiest in the class, according to Honda. That translates most noticeably to an extra two inches of rear legroom.

On the tech front, Honda updated the CR-V's cabin with many of the great features from the newest Civic, beginning with the lovely center-mounted touchscreen infotainment display. Honda's Sensing suite – collision-mitigation braking, road departure mitigation with lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keeping assist – also makes an appearance for the safety minded.

The CR-V will make its public debut at next month's Los Angeles Auto Show, before going on sale over the winter.
