Nissan Pathfinder gets slight price bump for 2017

Nissan has announced pricing and launch details for the refreshed 2017 Pathfinder.

 

The entry-level 'S' trim now starts at $30,890 (including $900 freight), representing a modest increase of $160 compared to the 2016 model year. Opting for four-wheel drive brings the price up to $32,580, while the range-topping Platinum 4WD edition starts at $44,460.

 

The 2017 update features revised styling, bringing the SUV into line with Nissan's latest 'V-Motion' front-end design. Some of the changes are not merely aesthetic, contributing to a lower drag coefficient.

 

Nissan engineers have thoroughly reworked Nissan's venerable 3.5-liter V6 for higher efficiency and more power, bringing output up to 284 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque. Tow capacity has consequently jumped by a half ton to 6,000 pounds.

 

Drivers are greeted by a standard 8.0-inch infotainment system, along with an advanced drive-assist display between the tachometer and speedometer. Available safety systems include automatic emergency braking, moving object detection, blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert, among others.
